HOTN: May 7

Pitchers duel between Kershaw and Carrasco as the ACL's visited the Dogs. Carrasco only allowed 3 hits, unfortunately all three of those hits were solo HR (Turner, Cruz, Dozier). And that's not going to get it done against Kershaw. Kershaw with another complete game shutout, allowing only 4 hits and 0 walks while striking out 9. Kershaw is now 6-0 with a 0.79 ERA. His numbers on the season is getting ridiculous - 57 innings, 5 earned runs, 38 hits, 1 walk, 57 strikeouts, 0.68 WHIP, .432 OPS against. I should pull up the database from last year and see how those numbers compare to Greinke who put up some stupid numbers last year. The only question at this point is when will Kershaw burn out, can you get the Cy Young if you burn out sometime in July or so???

Interesting. Here is the comparison between Kershaw and Greinke through May 7

Kershaw 17 - 6-0, 0.68 ERA, 57 innings, 5 earned runs, 38 hits, 1 walk, 57 strikeouts, 0.68 WHIP, .432 OPS against
Greinke 16  - 6-0, 1.33 ERA, 54.1 innings, 8 earned runs, 28 hits, 10 walks, 42 strikeouts, 0.70 WHIP, .436 OPS against

eerily similar...
