May 9th

Game Highlights

ACL's over Rougarou 6-3;
There were six extra base hits in the contest between Ankeny and Lakeview, and all of them were home runs.  Wind must've been blowing out of Tropica . . . uhh, maybe not...  The home team collects four of those long fly's to come out on top.

Thunder over Sweets 9-4;
Zach Wheeler continues to struggle, but Oscar Gonzalez bails him out with a pair of home runs and 5 RBI to lead Tucson to their fifth straight victory.

Inflatable over Garden 5-1;
Whacky pulls back into a tie atop the KML thanks to Nick Lodolo's seven, one run innings.  Chas McCormick doubles and homers to lead the offense.

Argos over Miners 8-2;
Julio Rodriguez homers and drives in four runs to extend Mother Lode's win streak to EIGHT GAMES.

Sea Wolves over Kraken 5-2;
Mike Trout doubles, homers and drives in two, and Joe Musgrove pitches his best game of the season striking out 10 in seven innings to win his first game of the year.

Dogs over Koi 4-1;
Dakota Hudson comes within one out of completing a two hit shutout.  Alex Diaz needs just three pitches to shut the door and secure the Dogs win.

Rattlers over Landlubbers 5-0;
Windy City makes it a three way tie at the top of the KML thanks to a five run second inning and Jordan Lyles seven shutout frames.

Brewers over Anglerfish 15-4;
Bryan De La Cruz goes 4-5 with two doubles and two home runs as Grants Pass tallies 21 hits to route San Diego and win their fourth in a row.

Robots over Madmen 3-2;
Brandon Drury's two run home run in the ninth inning sends Roxbury to the victory.

Bums over Auk 5-0;
Under the Strange But True heading: Marcus Stroman has allowed just one earned run over 5 starts and 30.1 innings (0.30 ERA), yet his victory tonight was his first of the season.  Me thinks the Bums offense could show him just a little more love...

I'll take that trend!
