Series Highlights

The second half of the May schedule features a string of two game sets that started with the last set of series'.

If there were a thought that the KML couldn't get any tighter . . . it would be wrong.  After this series of games, half the conference is tied for first and two games separate teams one through eight.  Wow...

Rattlers at Tubemen
Whacky takes game one, 4-2, on Anthony Rizzo's two run home run.  Windy City bounces back to split the series with a 5-3 win supported by DJ LeMahieu's three run homer.

Garden Hammers at Madmen
The teams split the series thanks to Robbie Ray and two relievers who throw a six hit, 11 K shutout for the home standing Madmen in game two.

Sea Wolves at Robots
Roxbury ends Santa Ana's win streak in game one with a 6-0 shutout.  Santa Ana comes back to take game two, 8-4, with Mike Trout leading the way with his 12th home run.

Landlubbers at Rougarou
Ann Arbor sweeps through Lakeview with a 3-2 extra inning win in game one and a 7-3 victory in the second match.

ACL's at Kraken
Ankeny scores a come from behind victory in game one thanks to a five run seventh inning highlighted by Carlos Santana's three run blast.  The Kraken return the favor, coming from behind to take game two with a five run eighth inning rally.

Argos at Brewers
Grants Pass remains the hottest team in the league, sweeping Mother Lode unceremoniously out of town with a pair of convincing wins; 7-2 in game one and 9-4 in game two.

Thunder at Dogs
Tucson jumps back into a tie at the top of the Frick with a 7-4 win in game one thanks to home runs from Oscar Gonzalez and Randy Arozarena.  Shohei Ohtani homers in both games and provides the winning runs in game two for Scourvy with a two run home run.

Bums at Miners
Bako and Phoenix were headed in different directions . . . until this series.  Phoenix cools off the Bums with a two game sweep.  Bako shoots themselves in the foot in the first match, committing FIVE errors.  Starting pitcher Zack Greinke, never at a loss for words quips, "Maybe they played with their gloves on the wrong hands tonight."

Auk at Sweets
The second inning is good to the Auk in the series.  Great scores five runs in the second in both games.  Unfortunately they score a grand total of zero runs in the other sixteen innings.  The five run second in game two is enough to outlast the Sweets though as the two teams split their series.

Anglerfish at Koi
Game one is a slugfest, won by the home team.  Luke Voit goes 4-5 with a pair of doubles and a homer and Arizona wins 13-9.  Framber Valdez restores order for San Diego in game two, leading the visitors to a 4-2 victory and a split of the series.
