Series Highlights

Rod has been fired, and his punishment is...

Dogs at Anglerfish
...to get swept by the Anglerfish. The games are not particularly close as newly promoted Edward Cabrera shuts down the Puppies in game one and Justin Steele continues his strong season in game two.  San Diego shoo's the diseased mutts out of town by a combined 16-4 score.

Bums at Sweets
On the bright side, Bako ends their four game skid behind Marcos Stroman in a 5-2 game one win.  And then they lose to Jose Urquidy and a couple third inning homers from Christian Walker and Travis d'Arnaud in the series finale.

ACL's at Rattlers
A six run first inning aided by a couple errors leads Ankeny to a 7-1 win in the opener; Windy City comes back to split thanks to Jorge Polanco's three run blast in game two.

Koi at Thunder
The Thunder continues to roll (rim shot...).  Zach Wheeler has not started this season particularly well, but he pitches brilliantly in a 4-0 game one shutout.  Tucson's offense starts early in game two and gives Alek Manoah a commanding 13-0 lead by the fourth inning, leading to Tucson's fifth straight win.

Madmen at Sea Wolves
Santa Ana takes a pair from Motor City as William Contreras homers in both games, going 5-8 with five RBI.

Argos at Auk
Mother Lode keeps pace with Tucson, wining both ends of their two game series with Great. Julio Rodriguez homers and drives in three runs in the finale.

Landlubbers at Inflatable Tubemen
Whacky sweeps Ann Arbor and seizes . . . however temporarily in the temperamental KML . . . the top spot in the conference.  Nick Lodolo works in and out of trouble in game one but holds the Landlubbers in check while Ross Striping has no such concerns in a game two gem.

Brewers at Miners
Brewers win game one, 4-3; Miners are victorious in game two, 4-3.  Logan Gilbert outduels Max Scherzer to lead Grants Pass in game one.

Robots at Garden Hammers
Hawaiian survives game one, giving up five Roxbury runs in the eighth and ninth before walking it off 7-6.  The Hammers complete the two game sweep with a 4-2 win in game two.

Kraken at Rugarou
Brooklyn takes two from Lakeview to draw back into a five way tie for third in the KML.  Seven teams remain within two games of each other in the Kennesaw.

Puppies ....... diseased mutts.      A little biased reporting there.    Funny though.
