Game Highlights

Garden Hammers over Koi, 5-3
watch out KML!  Hawwwaiian has won THREE IN A ROW and is threatening to run away with the conference! Well, maybe that's a little premature, but there are now four games separating the top seven teams which is the largest spread the conference has seen all season.  Wil Myers homers and drives in three to pace the Hammers tonight.

Landlubbers over Sweets, 9-1
Ann Arbor keeps pace with the Hammers, sitting a single game back, and ends Walla Walla's winning streak.  Patrick Sandoval runs his record to 7-1 with seven highly effective innings and Austin Riley homers and drives in four runs.

Thunder over Sea Wolves, 3-2
Santa Ana has hit a rough patch thanks to back to back series against the two hottest teams (and arguably the two best teams) in the league at present, Tucson and Grants Pass.  Tucson almost allows their SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN to slip away when Mike Trout swats his league leading 23rd homer of the season in the bottom of the ninth.

Brewers over Rattlers, 5-2
Grants Pass not only boasts the top scoring offense in the league, but also the largest Run Differential at +94.  Since May 5th when the team was 7-12, Grants Pass is a league best 20 games over .500 (31-11).  It has been a true team effort, with no one hitter standing out on offense and the pitching staff all contributing as needed.  There may not be a lot of All Stars, but there is one highly effective and complete team.

Robots over Bums, 6-5
Brandon Drury drives a two run homer deep to left off Zach Greinke in the sixth inning (why exactly he wasn't pulled with a lead after five innings will be a topic of discussion in the next Bums meeting) to provide the winning runs.

Dogs over Rougarou, 7-5
That sabbatical seems to be paying off Rod.

Argos over Madmen, 11-2
Seven runs in the first followed by four in the second for Mother Lode.  If this were Little League, I think this game would have been run-ruled by the fourth.

Kraken over Miners, 3-1
Brooklyn little-balled Phoenix in the 8th, scoring all three of their runs on a walk, four singles and a ground out.

Auk over ACL's, 8-6
Great scores three in both the sixth and seventh to take control and then hold on for the win.

Anglerfish over Tubemen, 4-2
After allowing a double and home run to the first three batters of the game, San Diego pitching completes the win with 8.2 innings of one-hit shutout ball.  The offense claws its way back for the Anglerfish win.
