HOTN: Aug 1

HotN:
We almost had a no-no tonight. Bartolo Colon of the ACL's allowed a 1st inning single to JE Ramirez (who was promptly part of a double play). Other than that, the Kraken's offense was silent, losing 5-0. So we were that close to a no-hitter, and of course the team that almost got no-hit would have been the Kraken - who lead the league in most offensive categories, including nose hair (bonus points to the first response on the movie quote).

Honorable Mention:
Bulldogs beat the Rum Runners 3-2 in 18 innings. Can't fault the RR bullpen in this one, as SP Iwakuma got the quick hook by not making it through the 5th. Chapman went 5 innings (seriously, 5???) and McGee didn't allow a baserunner from the 14th-17th innings. But the computer manager pressed their luck by bringing him back out for the 18th and Bogaerts made him pay with a HR to LF for the game winner. Sabathia pitched into the 9th for the Bulldogs, which made things easier on their bullpen as the game went deeper into the night.

I have a distinct feeling that DMB Mananger of the Rum Runners is going to be golfing with the DMB Manager of the Nomads. Those two knuckleheads appear to be drinking the same kool-aid when it comes to managing the team on the field. Golfing during the season is a bad thing it means you are either Matt Harvey or you might be unemployed.
