The Asterisks and Dogs each won 2 tonight, but they did it in drastically different ways...

The Asterisks beat the Bulldogs 15-12 (in 10 innings) and 15-8. Machado led the offensive assault going a combined 9-11 with 7 runs scored, 11 RBI, and 3 HR. En Fuego. Actually the first game was rather interesting - the Bulldogs scored 4 in the 6th, Asterisks got 5 in in the 7th, Bulldogs answered with 3 in the 8th, Asterisks got 3 in the 9th to send it to extra innings (tying run scored on a error by the RF Piscotty), and then the Asterisks finally put it away with 3 more in the 10th, on what else? A 3 run walkoff HR by Machado.

The Dogs silenced the Kraken with back-to-back shutouts, 5-0 and 2-0. Bauer went 7 solid, with 4 hits allowed and 8 strikeouts. Kershaw with a complete game to improve to 11-2, only allowing 4 hits while also striking out 8. Dogs haven't been scored on in 25 innings (and counting). Fernandez takes the mound in the in the series finale, we'll see how long the streak can continue.
