GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Rum Runners @ Hammers
Hawaiian Garden's Jonathan Gray has been sensational this season.  In 3 of his 5 starts, the Hammers have shutout the opposition.  Tonight Gray goes seven innings of shutout ball in an eventual 3-0 win over Chicago.  The Runners offense must be praying for a Bull Durham-like "natural disaster" right now; they have been shutout in four of their last five games.  For a team who was outpacing the league by a fair distance offensively earlier, this is quite the surprise.

Miners @ Argos
A pitchers duel yields just five hits for each team.  The difference is, one of those hits is a solo home run and propels the  . . .  well, take a look for yourself who hits it and who wins.  Sandy Alcantara and Reese Olson both pitch outstanding into the late innings.

Wolves @ Kraken
Santa Ana's Zac Gallen hasn't been his shutdown ace-like self over his first few starts, but he is the main reason for the Wolves ending Brooklyn's ten game winning streak.  On the offensive side, Brandon Belt, Alex Kirilloff and Maruicio Dubon all homer to support the Wolves pitching in their 4-1 victory.

Yetis @ Brewers
Cole Ragans pitches a five hit complete game shutout, walking none at striking out eight to lift Everest to the 5-0 win in Grants Pass.

Bums @ Auk
Corbin Carroll is one of the hottest hitters in the league.  After a 2-5 night with his 8th home run to help Great end Bako's win streak, the Auk rookie sits in the top ten in batting average, OBP, SLG, and OPS (.341/.412/.615/1.027) as well as home runs and RBI (a league leading 23).  Great pulls a game close to the top of the Frick with the 6-5 win.

Game one of the Dogs - Auk series was a slugfest.   Dogs hit 5 HRs and one double with the Auk hitting 2 HRs and 5 doubles.   Starting pitcher Chris Sale for the Dogs gave up 13 base runners in his 4.1 innings pitched giving up 12 runs with 8 of them earned.  Dogs bullpen gave up nothing after that.   Auk SP Scherzer had a typical out for him this season.   5.1 innings with 8 base runners and 6 earned runs.    Dude doesn't want to pitch this year (like most of the Auk starters)

After a 12-3 lead the Auk hung on to win 12-9

The Auk proceeded to lose two one run games to the Dogs in the rest of the series and then drop the opener to the Bums in a one run loss as well.      Not how to catch the teams ahead of you.    Auk has a 4-7 record in one run games.   Tough to take as I think I have one of the top 3 bullpens in the Mutiny League.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Sea Wolves @ Kraken
Brooklyn wins their TENTH GAME IN A ROW, 6-3 over visiting Santa Ana.  Eury Perez lasts only 4.2 innings for Brooklyn, but four relievers complete the game giving up just three hits and no runs.  Lourdes Gurriel launches his fist homer of the season, a three run shot in the fourth for the winning runs.

Koi @ Dogs
Arizona wastes a brilliant start by Bryce Elder in a 2-0 loss to Scurvy.  Elder pitches a complete game, allowing just the two runs on five hits and two walks, but four Dogs pitchers led by Shohei Ohtani shut out the Koi on five hits and five walks, striking out ten.

Landlubbers @ Rattlers
Max Kepler supplies the winning hit, a walk off single in the tenth to lead Windy City to the 6-5 victory.

Bums @ Auk
Winners of seven straight, Bako enters the ninth down to Great, 4-2.  A Brandon Marsh RBI single brings them within one with runners on second and third with two outs.  Andrew Knitzer comes through for Bako with a two run single, and after Devin Williams shuts the door in the bottom of the inning for his 7th save, Bako's late rally extends their streak to EIGHT STRAIGHT WINS.
