Pepiot has slightly better stats than Freddy.    Bruno would have gone into a pretty serious bender if Drop Dead Fred had beaten the Auk, his team last year, in a game seven for the championship.   They had some personality conflicts last year.      I was really hoping the Auk batters would have squawked in game six and won the championship with Bryce.    Lugo is more than fine for a game seven but left handed batters can get to him.    Game Seven.    All the marbles tonight.    Carlos Correa time.

Sale was masterful on the mound, scattering just three hits over seven scoreless innings while striking out 10 batters to earn the victory and keep the Dogs' championship hopes alive. The pitching gem set the tone for a tense defensive battle that remained scoreless through the first four innings before the Dogs finally broke through in the fifth.

The Dogs took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning when Steven Kwan singled and Jackson Chourio was hit by a pitch. Varsho grounded to second, and when shortstop Carlos Correa committed a throwing error, Kwan raced home with the game's first run while Varsho reached second base. Matt Olson was the hero for the Auk, crushing a three-run homer during the decisive sixth-inning rally to give his team a 7-4 lead they would never relinquish. Ahhhhhhh    So much for LHP Weathers shutting down a primarily LH hitting line-up.    Didn't do awful.   8 baserunners in 6 innings.   Needed to score more than three however.   Jekyll & Hyde Hoffman showed his bad side in trying to keep the game close.

So now we have game five still in Scuryville    Gil pitching for the Dogs.   So far this postseason in three starts he has gone 21.2 innings   6 hits.  Just 1 earned run and a 5-25 BB/KO ratio.     Would be nice going back to wind blown Auk stadium with the series lead.
