Glad to have Nick back with the Kraken, I think he qualifies for the 15% Home Town Discount. We'll give him a three year contract at $5,525M per year.

According to my records, you acquired Castellanos from the Scurvy Dogs in 2017 (who themselves acquired him from the Cutthroats who originally promoted him.  Am I missing something here?

Sorry about that. On the expired contracts page, I saw that it said "Promoted 1/15" but the column wasn't wide enough to see the rest of the player activity. If I had him from 2017 through 2020, do I qualify for any HTD? I think that totaled about 3 or 4 of his ARB years.

Just bumping this for some help. If I had Castellanos for three ARB year contracts, does he qualify for the 10% HTD? If so, I think his contract would be 3 years at $5,850M.

Sorry for the delays in responding to this.
I believe the intent of the HTD is in conflict slightly with the rules and we'll get some clarification on that soon and for sure during next offseason.

Getting back to the point, Castellanos does not qualify for a HTD since he was not originally a member of the Kraken. But I can appreciate the confusion regarding the rules on the HTD. But Castellanos does not qualify.
