Post by: bcbarnes on July 05, 2025, 07:54:04 AM
Rougarou send proven winner Carlos Correa to the Auk for future hopeful winner Ricky Tiediemann.

Bob to confirm.

Yes the terms are set.    Mortgaging a bit of the future to see if we can improve our odds for the 2025 campaign.    THANKS to Brian just one year removed from his Championship to make it easy to deal.

I forgot to add in to the deal the small cash part, the Rougarou are also trading 500k in cap/cash going to the Auk. Bob can confirm that as well.

Yes     The " no more pro-rata contracts" caught me with my pants down as I saw I had just $25,000 on my salary cap after the Carlos Correa trade.    Hardly enough for manager's Dombrowski's bar tab after a two town road trip let alone signing any more in season one year free agent contracts.   .

So yes Mr Rougarou was gracious enough to adjust our deal as it was being processed.

That's right Scurvy Dogs:.........Carlos will be seeing you in the playoffs and just maybe the Great Auk will bounce you from the post season two years in a row.       Gotta figure out the Brewers from Grant Pass's kryptonite however.   Those boys are tough everywhere in their line-up, rotation and bullpen..    Of course KML teams I see won the title 5 years in a row.    I think they sandbag during the regular season and then ... BOOM strike in the playoffs.   This new playoff format will be interesting.
