According to SI, when the Rays called up prospect Bob Seymour this week, he was the First major leaguer to be called "Bob" since Bob Howry retired in 2010. Crazy! I thought we Bobs were a pretty popular moniker. Oh, well - if there are no baseball all-star Bobs, at least we have the Pope with us now...
