Title: Chicago ISR
Post by: Rum Runners on January 03, 2018, 03:08:44 PM
Chicago submits:

Mauricio Cabrera (1.2M/2019)

I'll be honest this is a true request. He started the MLB season on the DL and never played in the Majors in 2017. He did log innings in the minors. I don't have the knowledge of the injury to know if this was an extensive rehab and then setback after setback.

Brent:

He was activated on May 7 and sent to Triple A: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/braves-mauricio-cabrera-activated-sent-to-triple-a/.  Prior to that, he had a rehab assignment that started on April 26: https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=cabrer000mau&type=pgl&year=2017  The only evidence I can find that he was placed on the DL again was a 7 day stint in the minors in late July: http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=606291#/career/R/pitching/2017/ALL and a rehab assignment later that month (same link).  This information (aside from the 7 day DL stint) is consistent with the site provided by Kyle: https://www.rosterresource.com/mlb-disabled-list-tracker/

Again, this is why we use DMB's status stat.  Trying to prove using various web sources whether a player was on the DL for 70% or more time is frustrating.  We have a rule for a reason and won't be granting exceptions from that rule aside a clear error on DMB's part.

Good with me, I just wanted a valid determination.

Thanks for understanding Brent.
