Aug. 13-16

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

Brooklyn @ Ankeny
Kraken, 18-2
Kraken, 3-1
Kraken, 7-5
Brooklyn walks into Ankeny holding a slim one game edge in the playoff race, and sweeps the series to move four games up on the ACL's.

Scurvy @ Tucson
Dogs, 4-3 (12)
Thunder, 7-6
Thunder, 8-7
Tied at 3-3 entering the bottom of the 8th in the rubber match, Tucson scores five in the frame to take an 8-3 lead.  Scurvy rallies back with a pair of two run homers in the top of the ninth before the Thunder bullpen finally closes out the win.

Chicago @ Windy City
Rum Runners, 2-0
Rum Runners, 7-2
Rattlers, 7-0
A step of progress for Chicago, the Runners take two of three in Windy City.  Logan Webb continues his strong season for Windy City with seven shutout innings in game three to help the home squad avoid the sweep.

Phoenix @ Bako
Miners, 5-3
Bums, 12-4
Bums, 7-2
Adolis Garcia has had a rough season, but he shows some signs of life with a two homer, seven RBI series.

Motor City @ Hawaiian Gardens
Hammers, 2-1 (10)
Madmen, 8-6
Hammers, 12-2
Thanks to timely hitting, and some sloppy defense by Motor City, Hawaiian Gardens scores early and often in game three to put the game out of reach before anyone gets too settled.  The ten run win gives the Hammers the series victory.

Walla Walla @ Great
Sweets, 4-3
Auk, 8-4 (11)
Auk, 7-0
Great stays right on the heels of Bako with the home series win.  Brandon Woodruff has come off the IL looking like a potential playoff ace, completing seven one hit shutout frames to lead the game three win.

Grants Pass @ Mother Lode
Brewers, 11-8
Brewers, 8-2
Argos, 5-3
Mother Lode's Justin Steele is not exactly dominant, giving up 11 hits and striking out just two in six innings of work, but the Argo starter manages to keep the Brewers off the board enough to secure a game three win and avoid being swept.

Lakeview @ Ann Arbor
Landlubbers, 4-3
Landlubbers, 3-1
Rougarou, 6-5
Ann Arbor narrowly misses a home sweep, dropping a one run game in the final contest and losing a game to Brooklyn in the KML playoff race.

Roxbury @ Santa Ana
Wolves, 3-1
Wolves, 7-6
Wolves, 7-6 (10)
Santa Ana wins their SIXTH IN A ROW and gives themselves another game cushion in the KML.  Game three is a walk off winner courtesy of Mauricio Dubon's run scoring single in the 10th.

Arizona @ Everest
Yetis, 6-3
Yetis, 3-1
Koi, 4-3
Despite a ninth inning rally of game three that plates a run, Everest is not able to complete the come back that would have given them the series sweep at home. A 2-1 series win does keep Everest above .500.
