GAME RESULTS

Frick Conference

Auk 12, Argos 2
The Auk are getting hot again, winning their SIXTH STRAIGHT GAME.  Great starter Max Scherzer walks the highwire, but stays relatively unscathed, but the pitching hero is Tyler Holton who comes in in relief and pitches four, one hit shutout innings.  The offense gets going in the fourth with six runs and rolls from there.  The win tie Great with Scurvy after...

Yetis 9, Dogs 5
The Yetis come back from a 3 run deficit early, getting to Chris Sale and then reliever Camilo Doval to record the win.  This fight for first round home field advantage between Great and Scurvy figures to come down to the final days of the season.

Brewers 3, Miners 2
Grants Pass inches closer to securing a playoff spot, holding their five game lead over Tucson with the 3-2 win.  Zack Wheeler finally pitches like the ace he was acquired to be, pitching six innings of one run ball.

Bums 2, Sweets 1
Bako extends one game on the Dogs, dropping their magic number to 5.  Xzavion Curry pitches the best game of his season with seven innings of shutout ball to outduel Dylan Cease.

Thunder 6, Koi 4
Tucson rides a six run outburst in the third inning to keep hope alive for the Thunder faithful.

KML Conference

Sea Wolves 10, Madmen 1
Santa Ana wins its SIXTH STRAIGHT GAME, Zac Gallen winning his 16th game of the season and Jack Suwinski going 4-4.  The Wolves magic number falls to 5 in the race for the KML crown.

Rum Runners 3, Landlubbers 2
Chicago walks off thanks to Joey Meneses one out double in the ninth.  The win keeps Chicago within striking distance of Santa Ana and drops Ann Arbor another game behind Brooklyn in their race for the 3rd spot in the playoff picture.

Kraken 12, Rougarou 2
Brooklyn cruises behind hot bats throughout the lineup and Anthony DeSclafani (don't you just love that name...) and his six strong innings.  The Kraken extend to a three game cushion on Ann Arbor in the KML playoff race.

Rattlers 4, ACL's 1
Ankeny drops the 4-1 decision in Windy City, missing the chance to close the gap on Ann Arbor.  Ankeny remains three games out of the playoff picture.

Robots 6, Hammers 4
Trailing most the game, Robot bats come alive in the eighth, scoring five runs to surprise Hawaiian Gardens at home.
