Sept. 26th

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

ACL's 7, Rattlers 1
Kodai Senga pitches seven, one run innings in what is possibly his best start of the season, and the Ankeny offense gets to Logan Webb for three in the third and three more in the fourth.

Thunder 6, Koi 3
Javier Assad allows just two hits over seven innings and Tucson plates five runs in the first and another in the second to run out to the big early lead.

Rum Runners 9, Landlubbers 6
Some sloppy defense costs the Landlubbers, leading to three unearned runs that are the difference in the game.

Brewers 3, Miners 2
Grant Pass completed the sweep at the right time to put some distance between themselves and Tucson and maintain their five game cushion.

Robots 6, Hammers 4
A six run second inning leads Roxbury to the win.  Hawaiian Gardens tries to mount a comeback with three in the ninth, but ultimately come up short.

Rougarou 4, Kraken 1
Trent Grisham crushes a three run shot deep to right in the 7th to give the Rougarou the cushion they need.

Sweets 4, Bums 3 (10)
Craig Kimbrel had a terrible outing.  Walk, hit batsman, balk proceeds an error and the Bums reliever gives up two unearned runs without allowing a hit.  Sweets walk it off in extras.

Auk 10, Argos 3
The Auk are getting hot again.  Great wins its SEVENTH STRAIGHT GAME, going up 10-0 by the fourth.  Can they pass Scurvy for the coveted home field advantage...

Dogs 8, Yetis 4
Scurvy rides the top of their lineup, including Ohtani's 40th home run, to the 8-4 win.  The Diseased Puppies and the Flightless Wonders remain tied the the Frick.

Madmen 11, Sea Wolves 1
Motor City gets to Grayson Rodriguez in the fifth and then continues to pile on against the Wolves pen for the easy 11-1 win.

Quarter beer night (upper deck only) for the last two home series was a rousing success.  Sweeps of both the Minors and the Argonauts    Sadly may not be enough to catch the b#stardly Bums for first.   Koi would have to get hot to give my Auk a prayer.    The home stand was festive and enjoyed by all with free concerts by Gus Polinski's polka band (Home Alone - John Candy's character) after every game.   The last three series are all on the road vs Frick playoff rivals (Dogs, Bums and Brewers)   Hopefully the next home game we will hoist the division winner flag in game #1 vs the Brewers.    Or just host game #1 vs the Dogs vs starting the playoffs on the road in the Dog pound.
