SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

FRICK CONFERENCE
Brewers @ Dogs
In the most anticipated series of the week, Scurvy hosts Grants Pass as the Dogs attempt to reel in the Brewers.  Scurvy wins game one with the offense.  Deadline pickup wander Franco goes 3-4 with a double, homer and four RBI from the leadoff spot.  Game two goes into extras.  Scurvy center fielder, Luis Robert, provides the winning hit; a single in the 11th to drive in Nolan Arenado, giving the Dogs a 6-5 win and tying the two teams in the standings heading into the final game of the series.  In game three, Scurvy heads into the late innings with a 4-2 lead.  Camilo Doval and Aaron Bummer cough up a run each in the eighth and ninth however, sending the game into extras.  In the tenth, the Brewers get runners on 1st and 3rd with one out but Jordan Hicks comes in from the Dogs bullpen and collects a strikeout and an easy flyout to center to keep Grants Pass off the board.  In the bottom of the inning, the Dogs have the same 1st and 3rd and with two outs Yainer Diaz checks in as a pinch hitter.  Wasting no time, Diaz jumps on the first pitch and lines a single into left to give the Dogs the walk off win and the series sweep.  Scurvy moves back ahead of Grants Pass in the Frick standings.

Thunder @ Bums
Bums win the opening game in walk off fashion courtesy of a game tying double by Bobby Witt Jr. and a game winning single by Royce Lewis in the tenth; Bums win 5-4.  Emmet Sheehan quiets the Bako offense in game two, Tucson taking a 6-1 win to tie the series.  Game three pits a couple of late season call ups, Javier Assad and Cristopher Sanchez.  Sanchez continues to impress, pitching into the seventh and he and Jimmy Cordero combine on a four hit, 11 K shutout to lead the Bums to the 2-0 victory and the series win.

Auk @ Miners
Auk, 2-1
Auk, 5-4
Auk, 10-4
Great sweeps in Phoenix and shaves a game off the Bums conference lead.  The Auk win game one with pitching; game two with 4.1 innings of shutout ball from the bullpen to preserve a one run lead; and game three with offense as every hitter collects at least one hit and the team totals seven extra base hits, including four homers.

Koi @ Sweets
Sweets, 7-3
Sweets 16-8
Koi, 3-2 (11)
Arizona bounces back from a couple lopsided losses to win an extra inning affair in game three.  Nick Castellanos' 11th inning single plates Alex Burelson with the winning run.  A day earlier, Walla Walla banged out 19 hits, led by Nolan Gorman's 4-5 (2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI) showing in a 16-8 run away.

Argonauts @ Yetis
Yetis, 6-5 (10)
Argonauts, 15-2
Argonauts, 8-7
Mother Lode bats come alive and the Argos take the final two games of the series with 26 hits producing 23 runs.

KML CONFERENCE
ACLs @ Sea Wolves
Santa Ana's bullpen coughs up the lead in the top of the ninth in game one, but William Contreras bails them out with a lead off walk off homer in the bottom of the inning; Wolves take game one, 7-6.  Game two is over early, with Santa Ana scoring six runs in the second and five more in the third.  Eight of the eleven runs are unearned thanks to three errors and a run scoring passed ball.  In game three, Kodai Senga faces off against Grayson Rodriguez.  Senga gets the better of it, with seven effective innings, striking out 12, and the ACLs avoid the sweep with a 5-3 win.  Santa Ana maintains their six game lead in the conference.

Robots @ Rum Runners
Runners, 6-1
Runners, 7-6
Robots, 4-2
Chicago is back to winning once again.  Game two is the turning point; the Runners build a 7-0 lead going in the eighth and then withstand a furious late comeback attempt by Roxbury, barely escaping with the 7-6 win.  The Runners do miss an opportunity to shave a game off the conference lead as Roxbury takes game three to avoid being swept, but Chicago still sits firmly in the #2 spot in the KML.

Hammers @ Landlubbers
Hammers, 8-5
Landlubbers, 3-2
Landlubbers, 6-5
Ann Arbor wins the series and takes sole possession of the final playoff spot in the KML.

Rougarou, 8-7
Lakeview avoids the home sweep with a come from behind 8-7 victory in the final game.
