Sept. 1
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
Robots 5, ACLs 2
Roxbury's Dean Kremer pitches into the sixth, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, to pick up his 10th win of the season. The Robots win on the strength of a three run third inning that featured a double steal, a run scoring wild pitch and a two run single of the bat of Mike Yastrzemski.
Miners 6, Thunder 5
You'd think any game started by Spencer Strider and finished by Evan Phillips would be a win for Tucson. On this day however, Phoenix picks away at Strider after falling behind early until they chase the Thunder ace from the game in the seventh. Then in the ninth, the Miners rough up Phillips for a single, double and two run scoring singles to walk off the Thunder in the rubber match.
Runners 4, Kraken 1
Chicago stays hot, winning the final game of the series to take the series, behind a strong start from Blake Snell and timely hitting throughout the lineup.
Rougarou 9, Hammers 8
Lakeview up early, 4-0; Hawaiian Gardens chips away and takes a 6-4 lead with a three run eighth. The Rougarou come right back and put a five spot on the board in the bottom of the inning, highlighted by pinch hitter Francisco Mejia's bases clearing double. The Hammers don't go quietly, mounting a rally of their own in the top of the ninth when Yandy Diaz and Manny Machado lead off the inning with back to back doubles. From there, Kyle Wright shuts the door to preserve the hard won win and series victory for Lakeview.
Sweets 6, Brewers 4
The Brewers have cooled off a bit, dropping the 6-4 decision and the series in Walla Walla. The Sweets are being stymied by Logan Gilbert into the seventh when they rally for all six of their runs to take out Grants Pass.
Koi 4, Argos 3
Another walk off in Arizona. Brett Baty follows Elias Diaz' game tying single with the game winning single to complete the come back and win the series for the home team.
Dogs 8, Auk 7
This one was back and forth all game. Scurvy takes a two run lead into the ninth, but sees closer Pete Fairbanks blow the save and send the game into extras. In the top of the tenth, Shohei Ohtani triples in the first run and scores on a single to give the Dogs a two run lead, which they hold on to for the series sweep. The sweep pulls Scurvy within one game of Great in the Frick standings.
Rattlers 6, Madmen 4
Logan Webb pitches eight stellar innings and Windy City withstands a pair of two run jacks by Motor City's Cody Bellinger to win the game and the series.
Landlubbers 6, Sea Wolves 5
Ann Arbor walks out of Santa Ana with a series sweep. A 3-3 game into the eighth, JD Martinez and Josh Bell hit back to back doubles and Ezequiel Tover parks a two run homer to give the Landlubbers a three run lead. Santa Ana rallies back with a run in the eighth and another in the ninth, but can't make it all the way back to prevent the sweep.
Bums 9, Yetis 6
The wind must've been blowing out in Everest tonight. Both teams club four homers each, with Bako getting the better of the derby behind homers from Triston Casas, Royce Lewis, Brandon Marsh and Shea Langeliers. Marcus Stroman celebrates his promotion back to the rotation with his 12th win against 2 losses. Avoiding their own sweep gives the Bums another games distance from Great, but Scurvy has shaved another two games off their deficit with their sweep of Great.
