World Series, Game Two

This summary was created using the prompt, "Please create a synopsis of this baseball game as if it were written in the style of 1920s-1930s sportswriters."  Getting a little worried for my future as a beat-reporter.

Craig also recommended Notebook.lm as a way to generate an audio summary. I haven't listened to it yet (stuck on calls), but here it is: https://notebooklm.google.com/notebook/a956c5c6-d792-468c-b254-79b988ea2ed9/audio Let me know what you think.

WOLVES SNATCH VICTORY FROM BUMS IN NINTH-INNING THRILLER
By Scoop McGillicuddy

MINUTE MAID PARK, Oct. 29 - The Sea Wolves, displaying the sort of never-say-die spirit that would make John McGraw proud, pulled victory from the jaws of defeat in the final frame yesterday, sending the hometown Bums to a bitter 3-2 defeat before a dismayed assemblage.

The affair hinged on the fleet-footed Ha-Seong Kim, who opened the ninth by beating out a roller to the initial sack that wouldn't have broken an egg. The diminutive keystone guardian then pilfered the middle station with all the stealth of a cat burglar, setting the stage for young Nick Jones to play the hero's role.

Jones, who had thrice been made to look foolish by the offerings of various Bum hurlers, redeemed himself in grand fashion by walloping a screaming two-bagger into the right-center garden, sending Kim scampering home with what proved the winning marker.

The triumph was made all the sweeter as it erased the memory of Bobby Witt Jr.'s tremendous four-ply swat in the third frame, a mighty blow that sent the horsehide sailing over the left-field barrier with a mate aboard. The clout had given the Bums a 2-0 advantage that looked for all the world like it would stand up.

Corbin Burnes, the Wolves' sterling right-hander, was masterful in his duties upon the hill, working six and two-thirds frames without surrendering an earned run. The veteran showed the cunning of a circus ringmaster, making the Bums' willow-wielders wave helplessly at his assortment of twisters and butterfly balls.

Frame after frame, the contest developed into a pitcher's battle royal between Burnes and the Bums' Framber Valdez, who fanned nine of the enemy before taking his leave in the sixth. The Wolves scratched out single tallies in the fourth and sixth sessions to draw even, setting up their ninth-inning heroics.

David Robertson claimed the victory for his stellar relief work, while Devin Williams was left to wear the goat's horns for the Bums after serving up the fatal blow to Jones in the ninth.

The victory had the Sea Wolves' rooters dancing in the streets, while the Bums' faithful were left to drown their sorrows and mutter about the cruel vagaries of the national pastime.
