The Miners erupted for 11 runs across the 4th and 5th innings, turning a 4–1 deficit into a runaway Opening Day win. Cedric Mullins crushed a 3-run homer to kick off the rally, while Robles and Canha tallied 6 hits between them. The Koi got early homers from Schmitt and Suarez, but Zac Gallen was tagged for 7 runs in just 3.2 innings.
Stat of the Game: 17 hits, 3 wild pitches, 2 HBPs — total chaos from the Koi staff.

🔨 One Hit Is All They Got
Hammers 7, ACL's 0 | Angel Stadium
Nathan Eovaldi and the bullpen combined on a dominant one-hitter, keeping the ACL’s off the scoreboard despite issuing 10 walks. Victor Caratini delivered the knockout blow with a 3-run homer in the 2nd inning, while the offense built a 7–0 lead by the 3rd. ACL's left 12 runners stranded in a frustrating performance at the plate.

🍺 Brewers Weather the Storm
Brewers 10, Sweets 5 | Great American Ball Park
The Brewers exploded for three multi-run innings and held on through a lengthy rain delay to top the Sweets. Ketel Marte homered and drove in three, and Lane Thomas cleared the bases with a dramatic double before getting thrown out at third. Despite homers from Walker and Thaiss, the Sweets couldn't dig out of the early hole.

🦑 Kraken Hold Strong Behind Manaea
Kraken 3, Rougarou 1 | Citizens Bank Park

🌩 Wheeler Deals in a Gem
Thunder 1, Yetis 0 | T-Mobile Park
Zack Wheeler was untouchable, striking out 13 in a 2-hit shutout masterpiece to open the season. Rangel Gonzalez’s solo homer in the 3rd inning was the only scoring play of the game. Despite a quality start from Cole Ragans, the Yetis couldn’t generate any offense — and lost Aaron Judge to an ejection midway through.
Pitching Duel: Wheeler’s 13-K shutout set the tone for Thunder’s season.

Landlubbers 5, Madmen 1 | Comerica Park
Kevin Gausman etched his name in the record books by tossing a complete-game no-hitter — just the second ever on Opening Day. Ezequiel Tovar powered the offense with two homers and five RBIs, doing all the damage the Landlubbers would need. The Madmen drew a few walks but never managed a hit in the historic defeat.
Milestone: Gausman joins elite company with a no-no on Opening Day.

Robots 4, Rattlers 3 | Rogers Centre

All, rather than adding every single box score to each thread (which takes a fair bit of extra time), I've convinced ChatGPT to add direct links to each box score in the post itself.  While that may not be 100% as convenient in the thread, it will save a ton of time over the course of the season.  Please let me know if any of the links end up broken over the season.  Thanks.

This is really well done! It is interesting that it pulled the MLB history to point out gausmans no-hitter as second ever.

I also love that it called out Lane Thomas’ TOOTBLAN in the Brewers/Sweets game.  Not something my recaps would have noticed.
