Trading released players July 17, 2024, 10:39:04 AM Hello folksI wondered this before but how come we cannot trade the salary obligation of released players The salary of that player counts against the cap of the team that owned him and now released him. That cap hit is real. However why couldn't that salary obligation be tradable. Kinda like a stock option or warrant in the financial markets. The team that a released player is traded to won't receive the rights to the player as they have been released but they now have the rights (and OBLIGATION) for that player's salary. The reason why I bring this up is that it could really help deal making in trades if these salaries can be tradable as well. Also perhaps move the Immaculate Grid chain to a separate menu as replies and new entries to that thread tend to hide other posts in this Captain's Quarters sub board. Quote Selected
Re: Trading released players Reply #1 – July 17, 2024, 08:59:30 PM We have not ever allowed trading of NRO contracts. It's something we have discussed however but there really hasn't been much support for it. We can bring it back up again this offseason.IG thread moved, good suggestion. Quote Selected
