If Tatis can keep his head on straight and not take steroids, this might be the best bargain for free agency. Acuna and Tatis were dinged a lot for injuries (Acuna) or boneheadedness (Tatis). A lot of players are coming in cheaper than I expected.

Absolutely agreed.  I wanted Tatis but couldn't get myself to pay $10mn for a guy who maxes out at 140 games per year especially when I knew Mike was working with the HTD.

As we all know from personal experiences, bidding on chronically injured stars is a crapshoot but we do it anyway.  Last year Trout burned me and may well burn me again this year but c'est la guerre.  Like drawing for an inside straight, you know better but go for it
regardless.
