And that has a limit of two such moves. What was Williamson's year ? I recall he was a 2027. If he is/was 2027 then yes just release him like you have done. Additionally, waived major league players who go unclaimed during theoff-season may be demoted to the Minor League Roster (see “Waiving a Player” below). Quote Selected
