White has not received near the credit he probably deserves, I agree.  And that puzzles me a bit.  It's not like this guy is some no name, soft tossing, back woods college stiff drafted in the 34th round.  He's a second rounder with premium stuff. And he's dominated both years in the LA system.  Granted, he hasn't proven any level of stamina because LA has greatly curtailed his work load, but once he proves he can handle the innings, I agree he is a mid-rotation starter at his peak.

And none of that is to diminish the Cache Hogs protection list.  Their minor league roster is deep.

Very difficult decision deciding the final 5 guys on my protected list. I may regret keeping Musgrove over White when we look back on this in a few years, but I think Musgrove is going to become a 100 inning swing guy, which many teams are gravitating toward having - I think he will become a very good one. That said, I am actually surprised White lasted as long as he did. I am well aware of his potential. Of the five I lost, he hurts the most, even more than Rutherford (whom I probably overrated last off season) but I am confident I will find others to replace him in future drafts.
