Common mistake. Let me try to explain.

Bidding is open on all players until Monday evening at 9PM PST. It doesn’t matter when the bidding was started or how long bids go between bids until Monday at 9PM. The reason for this is often people travel on the weekends so we want to make everyone has ample time to bid.

However once we get to Monday at 9PM that’s when the 24 hour rule comes into play. After Monday at 9PM if a new valid bid hasn’t been received during the past 24 hours then, and only then, will the player be signed.

The Rum Runners have the current high bid at $12.75 mill. Sorry for any confusion.

However, players can close on Monday night at 9:00pm if no valid raise has been placed since 9:00pm Sunday night.

If no raise had been made on Rizzo before 9:00pm tonight (Feb. 15), then he would have closed to you.

And...remember that the 9 pm is Pacific time and not Eastern. I've been in the league a few years and I still have to check that in the rules every year.
