GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Thunder @ Auk
A tale of two "halves" in Great leads to a barnburner of a game.  Tucson runs out to a 9-0 lead after four.  Down those nine runs into the sixth, Great mounts an epic comeback with five runs in the sixth, another in the seventh and then four in the eighth to tie the game.  Marcel Ozuna plays the hero with a three run homer in the sixth and a grand slam in the eighth, driving in seven runs with his pair of homers (11 on the season).  In the bottom of the ninth, Corbin Carroll and Charlie Blackmon lead off with singles for the Auk; after a double play grounder puts Carroll at third with two outs, Willson Contreras brings the Auk all the way back, driving in Carroll with a walk off single.  Great has been looking for a spark all season; maybe this 11-10 comeback victory is that spark.

KML Conference lead
Coupled with Brooklyn's 9-4 loss in Ann Arbor, Santa Ana's 5-4 win in Chicago gives the Sea Wolves sole possession of first place in the KML for the first time this season.

Frick Conference lead
Bako has lost three straight and six of their last ten after dropping game one of their series with Little Brother's Grants Pass Brewers, 4-3.  Scurvy has won six of their last ten with their 8-7 walk off victory over Mother Lode.  The (Lucky)Dogs tie the Bums atop the Frick Conference at a league leading 22-12 (tied with Santa Ana).

I feel your pain.   Nothing stinks worse than a high scoring game that burns thru ABs and innings pitched to only result in a loss.  At least from my end the Auk gets the win and pulls within a game of your Thunder for third.

League has been quiet.   Perhaps soon the playoff contending teams will look to gain an edge and the trading market will heat up.   I'm looking for a shortstop that can hit RHP.    Also perhaps five starting pitchers that don't have their heads up their dupa would be nice as well.

I didn't think my team was that good, but I also don't believe they are this bad.

Hey, good on your Auk! In the regular season, these games make me shake my head. It’s the post-season losses like these that have foiled my Thunder recently. Lost a 7-point lead with my Ace on the mound to Butch’s Sweets in game 5 that would have had me up 3-2 in games. Gotta play the games!
