June 4th-5th

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

Argos @ ACL's
ACL's win the series with a 4-2 victory in game two, and complete the home sweep of Mother Lode with a 4-3 victory in the final game.

Thunder @ Hammers
Hammers even up the series with a resounding 13-4 win in game two.  Manny Machado homers three times and drives in nine runs for Hawaiian Gardens.  Tucson scores five over the last two frames in game three to rally for the series win with a 5-4 defeat of Hawaiian Gardens.  Pinch hitter Garrett Cooper delivers the winning blow with a two run homer in the ninth.

Sweets @ Rum Runners
Runners take the series at home with a 2-0 shutout win in game two, Luis Castillo running his record to 7-1 and lowering his ERA to 2.45.  Weird game in the series finale sees Chicago complete the sweep with a 2-1 extra inning win.  Sweets pitching takes a no hitter into the tenth, tied 1-1.  Pinch hitter Yan Gomes breaks up the no-no with a one out single, but even that lone hit does not produce the winning run.  Zack McKinstry follows with a sacrifice fly, plating the ghost runner with the deciding run.  Tough end to a tough series for Walla Walla.

Miners @ Rougarou
Miners win the road series with a tight 4-3 win in Lakeview in game two.  Phoenix completes the sweep with another low scoring one run win in game three, 2-1.

Brewers @ Kraken
A 5-3 Brewers victory evens up the series in game two.  Grants Pass gets back to .500 with a 9-4 win in game three.  The Brewers score in each of the first five innings.

Dogs @ Madmen
Ohtani not at his best on the hill doesn't make it out of the fourth.  The Dogs offense supports him though and Scurvy takes game two, 6-4.  The visitors take the series with a 5-3 game three win.

Auk @ Rattlers
Daniel Lynch pitches a complete game, four hit, 11 K shutout and Great remains the hottest team in the league with the series winning 2-0 victory in game two.  A 4-3 win in the finale gives Great their fifth straight win and puts them a season high eight games over .500, two games back of the Frick Conference lead.

Bums @ Landlubbers
Bako rebounds with a 5-3 win in game two to even the series in Ann Arbor.  Pablo Lopez pitches his best game of the season in the final match, leading the Bums to the 6-4 series winning victory.

Yetis @ Sea Wolves
Everest spots Santa Ana four first inning runs but holds them from there and rallies back for a game two, series tying 6-4 win.  In the rubber match, Cole Ragans leads Everest to the series clinching 7-0 shutout win.

Koi @ Robots
Bryce Elder pitches seven strong innings and Josh Naylor collects three hits including his 7th home run to send Arizona to a series winning 3-1 game two win.  Roxbury bounces back with a game three 2-1 win to avoid the sweep at home.
