June 6th-8th

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

Sweets @ ACL's
ACL's 3, Sweets 2
ACL's 4, Sweets 3
Sweets 4, ACL's 1 (11)
ACL's take a pair of walk off wins to open the series.  Sweets avoid the sweep with a three run 11th in the third game.

Thunder @ Kraken
Kraken 4, Thunder 2
Kraken 12, Thunder 4
Thunder 11, Kraken 3
Kraken hand Kershaw his first loss in game one, score nine in the eighth inning of game two to turn a tie game into a blowout, before Tucson repays the favor with nine runs over the first three innings of game three to salvage one win in Brooklyn.

Miners @ Rum Runners
Rum Runners 3, Miners 2
Miner 3, Rum Runners 0
Rum Runners 8, Miners 5 (10)
Miners and Runners split the first two and enter extras tied in game three.  Kyle Schwarber seemingly takes umbrage to an intentional walk by Phoenix to get to him in the 10th, hammering a walk off three run shot to give Chicago the series win.

Argonauts @ Hammers
Argonauts 7, Hammers 4
Argonauts 2, Hammers 1
Hammers 4, Argonauts 1
Two teams looking to turn things around.  Mother Lode wins the series  before a pitchers duel in game 3.  Hawaiian Gardens opens their half of the first with a single, two walks and a grand slam by Anthony Santander and ride that four runs to the game three win.  Outside the first inning, Argo pitching gives up just two hits and three walks, but the Hammers allow just five hits and a single run to make the grand slam hold up.

Dogs @ Sea Wolves
Sea Wolves 3, Dogs 2
Sea Wolves 10, Dogs 5
Sea Wolves 8, Dogs 4
I think for the first time this year I can say . . . . I'm fired...   Santa Ana sweeps Scurvy, claiming sole possession of the top spot in the KML and dropping the Dogs three games behind in the Frick.

Yetis @ Rattlers
Yetis 4, Rattlers 2
Yetis 10, Rattlers 4
Rattlers 3, Yetis 0

Brewers @ Landlubbers
Landlubbers 4, Brewers 2
Landlubbers 12, Brewers 10
Brewers 5, Landlubbers 0
Game two is a wild affair with both teams taking at least four run leads.  Ann Arbor scores in each of the last five innings and then holds off a furious Brewer rally in the ninth to escape with the 12-10 win.  Logan Gilbert pitches his best game of the season, completing seven shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out 9 to front the Brewers 5-0 shutout in game 3.

Koi @ Rougarou
Rougarou 4, Koi 3 (11)
Koi 6, Rougarou 1
Koi 6, Rougarou 4

Bums 3, Madmen 0
Bums 3, Madmen 0
Bako takes sole possession of the top spot in the Frick with the series sweep in Motor City.  Xzavion Curry, Craig Kimbrel and Devin Williams combine for the 10 K shutout in game two, with Kimbrel and Williams repeating the favor for Gerrit Cole in game three, closing out the 12 K shutout in game three.

Auk @ Robots
Robots 5, Auk 2
Robots 5, Auk 2
Auk 6, Robots 1
Great salvages one game of the series in Roxbury behind Max Scherzer's seven shutout innings in game three.  Roxbury's Christian Yelich has a big series, going 6-12 with three doubles.

Winning streak stopped at 5 and losing 2 of 3 on the road to Roxy.   I looked at that team before the series and couldn't figure out why they were at the bottom of the division.  Especially why Clevinger was so bad.  3.77 vs almost 6.00 in the Mutiny.   Roxy's OF has two VGs and one EX in ranges and the infield has an EX, VG and two AVGs.    Their hitting was under performing as well: Rutschman, Vladdy, Adames, etc.   On paper they hit.    Well they woke up vs my Auk.   Especially Clevinger.   One hit in 6 IPs.     I'm glad I was able to win one vs them.    I have the defending champs Lakeview at home for next three.
