July 28-30

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

Dogs @ ACL's
Dogs take the series after dropping game one.  What wins games . . . pitching, pitching, pitching.  Gavin Williams is roughed up in the game one loss, but strong performances from Andrew Abbott and Sonny Gray and shutout relief work leads the Dogs to the series victory.

Thunder @ Robots
Thunder win, also with strong pitching.  Kershaw in game one and DeSclafani (see, it's not that hard to spell...) in game two lead the Thunder.  Tucson ace, Spencer Strider is outdueled in game three by Roxbury's Dean Kremer to salvage one game for the home team.

Bums @ Rum Runners
Bums sweep the Runners in a matchup of conference leaders.  Cristopher Sanchez highlights the sweep in his season debut in game two: 6 IP, 4 hits, 1 run, and 9 K's.

Miners @ Madmen
Three low scoring one run games highlight Motor City's series win.  Phoenix' Aaron Nola pitches seven strong innings in the final game to help the Miners avoid the sweep after Kyle Hendricks and Austin Gomber lead the Madmen to game one and two victories.

Yetis @ Hammers
Hawaiian Gardens wins the series behind Wade Miley in game one and Ben Lively in game two.  Everest avoids the sweep in game three with a game tying run in the ninth before Ji Hwan Bae's game winner in the tenth.

Auk @ Kraken
Great drops game one before taking the final two games to win the series.  Newly acquired Brandon Woodruff strikes out 10 in six innings to lead the Auk to a game two, 7-3 victory.

Sweets @ Sea Wolves
No pitching, no pitching, no pitching in game's one and two, a 9-5 Wolves win in game one and a 10-4 Sweets victory in game two.  Corbin Burnes holds the Sweets to two runs in a game three Wolves win despite giving up six hits and walking five.

Argos @ Rattlers
Rattlers win the rubber match at home behind Hunter Greene's 10 K performance in game three, outdueling Justin Steele.

Koi @ Landlubbers
Ann Arbor wins the series at home.  Arizona shoots themselves in the foot in a game two loss with three errors leading to six unearned runs in an 8-7 loss.

Brewers @ Rougarou
Grants Pass continues its strong play with the road sweep of the defending champs.  Logan Gilbert has had a rough go of it, but pitches probably his best game of the year in the final game with seven innings of four hit ball, striking out eight.
