Mike Loar tell us about the 2022 ML season

Finally some downtime at work.   I pulled a Captain Kirk and "Beamed" me up (Scotty)    Looking at the web page I see the Bums in first and I wondered how their 1st place total (if I sweep those Bums maybe this can be mended) compared to other years division winners.   I only had to go back to 2022 and the Winds / Sea Wolves now for that 2022 season.   120 wins.  Is that a record?  Loar's first year.     That was my first year in the league too but the Auk didn't even sniff 100+ wins.

So that was your first year in the Mutiny.   Did you know anyone that told you about the opening.   The previous owner was John Carxxxxxxx  (I can't read my own handwriting so the Beam is doing it's job)   Just one year in the league for him with this franchise and he made the wildcard that single year.   Wonder what his story is.   Then a long time owner Chris Longo had this franchise from 2012 -2020 winning the title twice.   Why did he quit ?    There are some stories here.

Back to the 120 win Winds.   Go over that.   What did you inherent and what was added.   And then (bad memories) who got you in the playoffs.   The Ann Arbor team I guess.   Saw his picture up all last year.

Just doing some musing here having some cocktails with Bruno the manager.  His job is safe as long as he is buying.

Bob,

I just came across this post and loved it; must have been a tough day if the beam was having that effect at 6:30 pm EST!

Chris Longo was a fantastic owner and really well prepared.  He won the championship in 2018 and 2013.  So Mike did inherit a fantastic team though he's also does an amazing job keeping it at such a high standard.

A couple folks who play in the Frick would also comment that the Landis division has been a little bit less competitive than the Frick though that season the divisions seemed pretty even in terms of W-L records.

Also, have you looked at this page: https://www.mutinybaseball.com/archives/ which allows you to see what his team looked like in 2022 as well as what it looked like in 2021 so you can see what he inherited and what he added on that year.

Wow!  I just now ran across this topic.  I don't venture to this part of the ship very often.  (Out of sight, out of mind). I just wanted to acknowledge reading the post and will repost when I gather my wit about me,
