Rum Runners 0 @ Kraken 4 (Series tied 2-2).

Small-base baseball ladies and gentlemen. 5th inning and the Kraken put this one together: double, walk, double to score a run, single to score two runs, Caballero steals second base, ground out to second (but Caballero's SB prevents the double play), ground out, single to score Cabellero, walk, ground out for the final out. Every batter made it to the plate that inning.

Dogs 3 @ Auk 4 (Auk up 3-1)

First off, credit should go to Woodruff whose 3 hit, 10 K, 8 inning performance nearly gave the Auk the win. But this game really encapsulates the Dogs' series. After tying the game in the top of the ninth on a monster 3 run home run by Diaz, the Dogs relief pitching in the 10th walked Ozuna to start the inning and then gave up a single to Sosa which was fielded poorly by Stewart and allowed Ozuna to score for the win.

Sea Wolves 1 @ Landlubber 3 (Series tied 2-2)

Finally a pitchers' duel. The Wolves' Bello with 8 IP had a heck of a day giving up only 4 hits and a walk. But he was matched by Dunning at 8.2 IP, 8 K and 6 H. Unfortunately for the Wolves, the Landlubbers were able to string a couple of those hits together for 2 runs in the 4th and sometimes 2 is all that is needed.

Bums 1 @ Brewers 2 (Bums up 3-1)

The younger brother finally lives up to his regular season calling and wins a 1 run ball game in the playoffs on the strength of an 8 IP performance by Rodriguez. But just like the Kraken win, this one comes down to putting bats on balls when, with one out in the 5th, the Brewers went single, single, fly out, single to score a run, single to score a second run, strike out to end the inning. Again, sometimes all that is needed are 2 runs.
