Rum Runners 3 @ Sea Wolves 1 (Series tied 3-3)

Brent keeps his hopes alive and sends another one to game 7! No late inning heroics here either. The Rum Runners went up 3-0 in the top of the first inning and kept that lead for the rest of the game. A big starting pitching performance by Luis Castillo (7 IP, 4 hits, 7 K) followed by some lights out relief pitching and this one is headed to a nail-biter.

Auk 0 @ Bums 1 (Bums win 4-2)

Scherzer definitely showed up today with 7 IP and 9 K on 2 hits and 4 walks but unfortunately for the Auk, the 1 earned run off Scherzer in the 2nd inning was the difference as the Bums's Christopher Sanchez was also lights out (7.1 UP, 4 hits and 1 walk). Both pitching staffs were very economical with a total of 213 pitches thrown this game. Tough to say who gets the MVP in this series - I've already mentioned Flores and Lewis but Sanchez was the SP for two of the Bums wins (which, in addition to this one, also includes the Bums' 2-1 win in game two). Great showing by Bob in his third year.

Tremendous series Bob. Closer than a 4-2 series win would suggest. You actually outscored me 22-20 over the six games. Four one run games!

Pitching dominated this series which I didn't expect. All season long my starting pitching was the weak link with the bullpen keeping me in the games until the offense put enough on the board for a win. The exact opposite these playoffs. My offense was offensive. I was hoping for a game 7 where Lewis would be over the 10% efficiency line.

Will be a good finals no matter who emerges between the Sea Wolves or the Rum Runners. Good luck to them in their game 7.
