Re: Stadium Draft? Reply #2 – December 24, 2024, 11:10:34 AM The whole thing is just really really sad.I can't tell you how cool the idea of MLB in Sacramento is. I grew up here and it is a baseball city over anything else. I'm still relatively close by and will have the chance to see MLB in the next few years without having to drive to the Bay Area or flyer to SoCal, but I just can't get behind it and I don't believe I'll go.Having gone through the whole Kings relocation saga not terribly long ago, I just can't be part of aiding and abetting the loss of someone else's team. Some say it was going to happen no matter what and this is going to be a chance to highlight Sacramento for future MLB opportunities, but I believe it will have the opposite effect. Being in bed with a cheap skate like Fisher and sharing a AAA stadium with a AAA team is going to look and flat out be bad.Oakland had it's difficulties, but above all else, Fisher was and is a unserious cheap scumbag that tanked the many chances they had. I feel for those fans. I think considering Fisher is Fisher, all things may crash and burn in Vegas, and I hope he's forced to sell which probably should have been the outcome long ago considering his pathetic approach to ownership. But I digress, when can I move out of my current stink hole, the Coliseum? Re: Stadium Draft? Reply #8 – January 02, 2025, 12:17:00 PM Based on last years record, Matt would have the first choice, followed by Brent. @thebuland - you’re on the “clock” Quote Selected
Re: Stadium Draft? Reply #9 – January 02, 2025, 12:36:05 PM Hitch up the mule team, the Argonauts are moving PNC Park to the Mother Lode. PNC wouldn't be the same without the Roberto Clemente Bridge backdrop so it's coming with us too. There's plenty of scenic American River canyons for the bridge to span with beautiful rocky tree-lined canyons to replace the city skyline. Quote Selected 1 Likes
