“Marte’s Fireworks, Arraez’s Ice—Brewers Spark July 4th Walk-Off Win!”

The Brewers’ 5–4 extra-inning victory over the Kraken at Busch Stadium had all the drama of a summer blockbuster. After trailing early, Milwaukee clawed back and sealed the win with a walk-off single from Luis Arraez, who said afterward: “I just wanted to stay calm and do my job. I’ve been in that spot before, and tonight I got the pitch I wanted.”
The game’s turning point came in the 4th inning when Ketel Marte launched a three-run homer to tie things up. He reflected on the moment: “I knew we needed a spark. I got a fastball middle-in and didn’t miss it. That’s what this team is about—fighting back.”
On the mound, Miller closed the door in the 10th with two strikeouts to earn the win. He kept it simple: “I trust my stuff. When the crowd’s roaring and the game’s on the line, that’s when I want the ball.”
Despite the loss, Kraken second baseman Nico Hoerner, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI, praised the Brewers’ resilience: “We had our chances, but credit to them. They made the plays when it mattered most.”

Manager’s Statement: "We showed grit tonight," said Brewers manager Brandon Crews. "From Marte’s blast to Arraez’s poise in the 10th, this team never backed down."

Fan Reactions: The crowd at Busch Stadium was electric throughout the night. Social media lit up with reactions:
@BrewCrewFan88: “Arraez is ice cold in the clutch! What a finish!”
@DogsInTheCrowd: “Even as a Scurvy fanboy, gotta admit—this game was fireworks from start to finish.”
@MidwestBaseballMom: “Best $4 ticket I ever bought. Brewers brought the boom!”

⚾ Game Highlights
Kraken struck first, with runs in the 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings, including RBI hits from Hoerner, Contreras, Guerrero, and Butler.
The Brewers roared back in the 4th, plating three thanks to Ketel Marte’s clutch 3-run blast.
After tying it in the 8th, the Brewers sealed the win in the 10th on a walk-off RBI single—Luis Arraez came through with the decisive hit.

🔥 Pitching Duel
Both bullpens were tested. Kraken’s Greene and Helsley blew saves, while Suter took the loss after surrendering the game-winner.
Brewers relievers combined for 17 strikeouts, with Miller earning the win after a dominant 10th.

🧨 Standout Performers
Hoerner (KRK): 2-for-3, RBI, run scored
Marte (MIL): 3 RBIs on one swing
Arraez (MIL): 2-for-2 off the bench, including the walk-off

The Brewers left 10 runners stranded but made their final opportunity count. The Kraken, despite solid early offense, couldn’t crack Milwaukee’s late-inning arms.

I noticed Copilot really wanted to give Arraez credit for the win! He lead off the 8th with a single and did score the tying run. But he wasn't involved in the action in the 10th at all. But Copilot sure makes it sound like he did!

🎙️ Full Broadcast Script: Brewers vs. Kraken — July 4, 2024 at Busch Stadium

[Opening Theme Music Fades In]

Joe Buck (Play-by-Play): “Happy Fourth of July from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri! Tonight, the fireworks aren’t just in the sky—they’re on the diamond. It’s the 2025 Milwaukee Brewers taking on the Kraken in a matchup that promises late-inning drama and big-time bats. I’m Joe Buck, joined by Troy Aikman in the booth. Troy, welcome to the ballpark.”

Troy Aikman (Color Analyst): “Thanks, Joe. I’ve seen my share of gridiron battles, but this one feels like a playoff game. Two teams with power, poise, and plenty of personality.”

[First Inning]

Joe Buck: “Chris Sale on the mound for Milwaukee. He’s been lights out this season. Kraken’s Nico Hoerner steps in, batting .310. First pitch—strike one!”

Troy Aikman: “Sale’s got that veteran swagger. He’s mixing speeds and keeping hitters guessing.”

[Fourth Inning — Brewers Rally]

Joe Buck: “And here’s Ketel Marte with two on and one out. Kraken lead 1–0. The pitch—Marte swings…deep to left! That ball is GONE! A three-run homer and the Brewers take the lead!”

Troy Aikman: “That’s the equivalent of a 70-yard touchdown pass, Joe. Marte read the coverage and went deep.”

[Sixth Inning — Kraken Respond]

Joe Buck: “Contreras drives one into the gap—Guerrero rounds third, he’ll score! Kraken retake the lead, 4–3!”

Troy Aikman: “That’s how you answer. Kraken showing they’ve got fight.”

[Eighth Inning — Brewers Tie It]

Joe Buck: “Langford with a liner to right—Judge scores! We’re tied at four!”

Troy Aikman: “This game’s got more twists than a two-minute drill.”

[Tenth Inning — Walk-Off Moment]

Joe Buck: “Luis Arraez at the plate. Two outs. Runners on. The pitch—line drive to right! It drops! Brewers win it! Arraez walks it off on the Fourth of July!”

Troy Aikman: “That’s clutch. Calm, collected, and clinical. Arraez just delivered the game-winner like a Hall of Fame quarterback.”

[Postgame Wrap-Up]

Joe Buck: “Final score: Brewers 5, Kraken 4. Marte’s homer lit the fuse, and Arraez’s single was the grand finale. What a night in St. Louis.”

Troy Aikman: “This game had everything—power, pitching, and poise. Baseball at its best.”

Joe Buck: “From all of us in the booth, happy Independence Day. We’ll see you next time under the lights.”

Hey - guess what? Copilot suddenly figured out Arraez wasn't the hero!

🧨 Early Kraken Pressure
Top 1st: Nico Hoerner set the tone with a leadoff single and a steal, but the Kraken left him stranded.

Bottom 1st: The Brewers got two aboard with Henderson and Judge singles, but Kraken pitching escaped trouble.

💥 Power Surge
Top 3rd: Willson Contreras launched a solo homer off Paul Skenes to open the scoring for the Kraken.

Bottom 4th: The Brewers answered in a big way. After a sac bunt moved runners into scoring position, Ketel Marte crushed a 3-run homer off Hunter Greene, giving Milwaukee a 3–1 lead.

🔁 Back-and-Forth Momentum
Top 5th: The Kraken clawed back. A double from Machado and RBI hits from Hoerner and Guerrero tied the game at 3–3.

Bottom 5th: Shohei Ohtani struck out for the third time, Judge walked, but no damage done as the Kraken held firm.

💣 Butler Brings the Boom
Top 6th: Lawrence Butler turned on a pitch from Hoffman and blasted a solo shot down the left field line to make it 4–3, Kraken.

🔒 Clutch Relief Work and Missed Chances
Bottom 6th–7th: Brewers get runners in scoring position, but the Kraken’s bullpen—Clase and Voth—tighten the screws.

😬 Tie Game Drama
Bottom 8th: Luis Arraez singled, advanced on a walk, then scored after a passed ball by Realmuto. The game was tied at 4–4.

😤 Missed Kraken Opportunities
Top 10th: Kraken start the inning with a runner on second, but Miller mows down Realmuto, Walker, and Cruz with cold efficiency.

💥 Walk-Off Moment
Bottom 10th: With Jackson Ramirez starting on second, rookie Wyatt Langford lined a walk-off single between third and short. Brewers win 5–4.

🗣️ Postgame Soundbites
Langford: “They told me to stay loose. I saw a hole and shot it through.”

Realmuto: “Tough loss. We left chances out there.”

Marte: “Big swing early, but it’s Langford who gets the fireworks tonight.”
