Yes - that’s right. I’m posting on the Auk’s own message board. Print it and post it all over your team locker room. We don’t care.

While we can appreciate the Auk desire to bark upwards, the Dogs have no fear of the Auk. One small and irreverent divisional round upset (that didn’t eventually lead to an Auk championship) does not a rivalry between our franchises make. While you’re still looking upwards in the standings, we suggest you keep your inner yipping and yapping to a minimum before we have to put you down and send you to the “Great” farm up north.

For anyone who thinks my comments above were real. - it wasn’t. Bob even knew it was coming, he started it with some email comments when he sent in an MP before our series. I’ve been anticipating a response on my own forum, especially after the unfortunate 3-1 series loss.

This was all in good fun. Hopefully no one took exception to it. I assure everyone there is zero real life animosity towards the Auk.

Now excuse me while I I go lick my wounds…

Rod is a great guy and it is even better when your team starts out 2-0 vs his Scurvy Dogs.   Was out of the loop for two days.   Wow.   I thought the runner on 2nd in extra innings was supposed to end these 16 inning dramas,   The bullpen is kaput now and have a series with the Brewers next.   Who made this schedule ?!?!?!

Bruno will have to be checked into rehab if these tight games vs the top division teams continue., Three HRs by the new Auk Correa against the Dogs.    In the 14th or 15th inning how did Luis Robert not score from second on a single by Ohtani ? I didn't see the final score and was just running thru the box score on that one. Kept my hopes alive for a sweep until the 3 run 16th by the Dogs. I had to join Bruno for a drink after that.

Thunder winning 11 in a row now.   Keeping things tight.

The Dogs obviously need to invest in a muzzle.

Basically ever since these comments the Auk have moved into 1st place in the Frick and have held that position ever since. Barring a miracle the Auk are going to end the season with the best record in the league. Well done Bob, you’ve put together a great season.
